Skretting Indonesia Joins Phillips Seafoods Indonesia in Mangrove Planting Initiative to Support Environmental Sustainability

Skretting Indonesia is proud to announce its active participation in a mangrove planting event held today in collaboration with Phillips Seafoods Indonesia. This initiative is part of Skretting’s ongoing commitment to supporting sustainable environmental practices and contributing to the preservation of Indonesia's vital coastal ecosystems.

The event, which took place at Pengametan Beach in North Bali, Indonesia, was attended by members of both Phillips Seafoods Indonesia and Skretting Indonesia’s dedicated teams. Together, about 45 participants successfully planted 830 mangrove trees, which were previously self-propagated at Phillips Seafoods Indonesia’s mangrove nursery facility, along the coastline. This effort will help restore crucial habitats for marine life and combat coastal erosion.

Mangroves, known for their ability to absorb carbon dioxide, provide natural barriers against coastal erosion, and support a diverse range of wildlife, play a critical role in maintaining the health of estuaries and coastal ecosystems. By planting these trees, both of Skretting Indonesia and Phillips Seafoods Indonesia are making a positive impact on the environment and helping to safeguard the natural beauty and biodiversity of the region for future generations.
