The National Action Plan develops Vietnam’s shrimp industry to 2025, signed by the Prime Minister and issued in 2018, clearly stated that production development goals are cemented to product consumption market needs, improve the quality and build the brand name for Vietnamese shrimp products; invest in developing shrimp industry according to system thinking and value chain; in which enterprises play the leading role and is the driving force of the entire value chain.

This is the direction that the shrimp industry aims to ensure maximum production efficiency while maintaining sustainability in the future. Especially, going through the difficult period caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the linkage in the production chain has clearly brought about very positive results. Not only ensuring stable domestic production but also helping the shrimp industry make good use of every opportunity to boost exports, increase export turnover and affirm Vietnam’s shrimp position in the global market.

With the theme “Innovative value chain upgrading”, VietShrimp 2023 wishes to join hands to contribute to acting together, realizing the Government’s policy, becoming a big “forum” of all 4 families: Manager – scientist – businessman – farmer; introducing new technological products, advanced models, connecting production and consumption, in order to increase output, value, and ensure benefits for the Vietnamese shrimp industry community; promote the image of Vietnamese shrimp in the world market… to bring Vietnamese seafood further to the global market.
